Yeah, old Scott Bradford, he is one of the greatest. I have worked on several Emmaus walks with him. Has he ever told you the one about the little bird named Chirpy? I understand he is now pastoring at the Methodist Church in the town I was raised, Uvalde. I now live in Kerrville and I will always consider it my hometown. I have the opportunity to be buried in a family plot at Waresville Cemetery south of Utopia, my mother's hometown, where I actually spent a lot of my youth, but now I wish to be buried here in Kerrville. Kerrville to me is somewhat magical, it is one of those towns that grows on you. And it isn't all that far from Junction should someone from that town wish to visit. I go to First Christian Church here in Kerrville, the denomination that I grew up in. We have a fantastic minister. And speaking of Emmaus, my pastor and I will both be working on the Hill Country Emmaus Walk to be held here at Mt. Wesley October 4-7. Come on over on Saturday night and watch us go through the line at Candlelight. I have enjoyed your website immensely.

What a thoughtful gift, Paul. And thank you for the nice email. Richard came home from Emory today. He was wiped out, but that's to be expected for awhile. He's gradually getting his strength back from open heart surgery. We appreciate all your prayers.

Blessings,

<blockquote>Hi Camey,

Thank you so very much for blogging by!

Indeed I am blessed to have a friend such as PJ, she too uses a cane.

I get a lot of comments about the cane, because it does fit my personality :)

It has always been in the small things that I have been blessed and for that I am thankful to the Lord.

My user name, Shaul Shachar, on Monday Morning Insights, is Hebrew for Paul Dawn, and I will be using that for my pen name in the days to come, just sort of like the way it sounded :)

Again, thank you for blogging by,

Blessings,

Writing for the King,

Paul

Paul,

So thankful to hear that you have a friend such as PJ. As one who understands about a cane to a person who uses it, it is like a part of the body. Words at times cannot describe it I know. While I only used an "old metal, medical looking cane" - the comments were always "that does not look like you." I was in my early-mid thirties at the time.

May we continue to see the blessings of the small things. It does indeed suit you more... or at least just from what is evident on this blog of yours.

Psalm 118:8,
Camey

Praying all is well, you mentioned it had to do with her thyroid correct? How did the tests and such come out? My wife has issues with her thyroid. Good to find your blog again, you may or may not remember my wife Brandy and I from LWC. Anyway, planning on putting you in my RSS Feed

Wow, I think about that question a lot. As in, "How are you?" "You would be really scared if I told you." It bothers me, because why ask if you don't really want to know the truth? When I ask I do.

Hello Paul, I really enjoy being able to hear your voice. Makes it so much more personal and I feel I truly know you much better. I pray God is blessing you with a great week-end and your getting many thoughts to study on and write about. God bless.

Hi Brooke,

What a blessing to have you blog by and say howdy and check in on me. Thanks for the comments and the encouragement. I greatly appreciate it very much.

That is exciting about Larence coming to the states. I surely will be keeping you all in my prayers, that the Lord will be the center and focus and that He will guide you both in all ways.

May the Lord richly bless you in all that is set before you Brooke.

We serve an awesome God!

Blessings,

Writing for the King,

Paul
