Wander No More!

Over the last couple of months and the last few weeks, I have found myself wandering spiritually, totally distracted by events, things around me, situations, things that distracted my being focused on the most important thing in my life, my walk, and relationship with the Lord.

And for that my friends. I ask for your forgiveness and your prayers, that I will be focused on what the Lord has called me to be, a pen in his hand, an exhorter and encourager of others.

It is only as we stay focused on our Lord, as we draw strength daily from His word, from His Spirit, that we can do whatever it is that He has called each of us to do!

Our Father does not want us to wander, to be a prodigal. He wants us to walk in the fullness of all He is, on a daily basis.

He has not called us to be weekend warriors or midweek saints. He has called us to serve him with our whole being 24/7! He wants to show Himself strong and mighty.

Each day, He walks with us. He wakes us each morning to give us a fresh start, new opportunities to shine forth for Him, in the way we walk, and the things we share, the lives we touch.

We touch others daily. at work, at home, in the marketplace.

It is, as we yield to Him, that He will use what gifts he has given us to touch others, to build them up, to exhort and encourage them!

Our Father does not want us to wander anymore, but rather He wants to embrace us daily, speak to our hearts, to give us the songs to sing, the words to write, the hearts to touch and to share the hope that we have, knowing that which He has begun in each of us, will begin to flourish and blossom and touch others and draw us home to the Father and remind us of the hope and life that we have in our Lord Jesus Christ.

Our Father calls us to wander no more, but to come and dine, to partake of Him, of His word, of His presence.

To allow the Holy Spirit to work in us, that which the Father has called us to be, his children!

That each and every one of us are the Apple of his eye, that because of the Lord Jesus Christ, the work of the cross, the resurrection, we are no longer prodigal children, but rather, we are His children, who have returned to the Father, who delights in us.

Let us delight in Him and wander no more!

Hey Paul. Great post. Let this be a good word for all of us, my brother. I, for one, desperately need the fellowship of the saints to further His work in me.

Be blessed, for you are indeed a blessing!

    Hi Vicki,

    Thanks!

Always a blessing to have you blog by. I appreciate the fellowship of my fellow scribes online.

Can you tell me how to get the info for your writing site, so I can put the image and link on my website.

    Blessings,

    Writing for the King,

Paul, I so need this! I’ve been going through a “dry” spell myself~focusing on less important things. One of those has been blogging~not so much sharing my faith as designing templates. Thank you so much for this reminder.

You truly are a servant of the Lord. Blessings!

BTW, In order to STOP playing with templates, I moved to Word Press.

hello, paul! long time, i know. my time online has been sporatic for various reasons.
i think your post has applications for a lot of people! i feel as if i’m wandering ALL THE TIME. not only spiritually (and not so much spiritually, really) as just physically and emotionally. i guess w/me it’s got to do w/the medical stuff, ya know? but it wears on a body and all that then tends to wear on the spirit. it’s alll connected!
anyhow…thanks for another good post, dear friend.
    God bless you most richly!

    Dear Brother Paul,
Thank you for this post brother.I needed to read it.I have been wandering alot this last year.Another bout with atrial fibrillation and other”storms”seemed to have knocked me completely off course with where God was leading me.I know HE has called me to write.I also see where this last year’s trials have affected even my desire to write.I am currently unable to exercise due to the a-fib.I really feel all those endorphins that were in high gear a year or more ago have gone dormant due to the inability to exercise. My writing and so many other things have suffered because of it.I am hopeful that I will stop wandering about soon and that God will get me back on track and heal me too.Thank you once again for this post Brother. Please pray for me if you think to.I want to be a scribe for Him and glorify Him through writing.
    In Christ,Sharon
