A Mountain Top Time!!

What a pleasure and honor it was to be at the Blue Ridge Mountain Christian Writers Conference in Asheville, North Carolina!

Indeed the time there was a time of listening, learning and receiving from others, the treasures the Lord has given them!

There where editors, publishers, authors, columnists, speakers, all with one thing in common, that of encouraging others in their gifts, their callings, whether it was to be published or to simply write as a ministry, the goal was the same. To make real the reality of the Lord Jesus Christ!

I was touched by so many who gave of themselves. Who listened, who encouraged me and took the time to minister to so many others.

It was not a matter of who was an author, who was famous but rather it was a time of encouragement. Fiction, non-fiction, romance, fantasy, poetry, it was all there, flowing together.

The Spirit of the Lord bringing out the creativity that He has placed within, using it all for His glory, if we will but allow Him to do so.

I came away with a new determination to pursue the Lord, to be that instrument in His hand that He has called me to be.

How about you? Won’t you join me and pursue the King?

“Let us say, here we are Lord, mold us, shape us. Create within us the image of who you are, that others might see and hunger after you, that you might release within them the gifts, the talents that you have given them.”

It would be hard NOT to feel inspired in the midst of those mountains!!! I do love the mountains in this my adopted state!! We live in the midst of the state, by ALL the gold courses!!! But we have lots of evergreen trees too so it feels kind of like a campground!! Which I love! But I wish we could move to the mountains!!
