Awareness

One of the things that the Lord has been making real to me this week, is the simplicity of who He is and what He is doing!

I know it looks like I have abandon blogging, writing , but not so. The Lord has been remodeling and reshaping me inwardly.

A time of drawing away from things, to come into His presence and learn to rest. To be attuned to Him. Of writing when He speaks to my heart!

That it was not how often I wrote or posted but a matter of writing when He said to write and to set it aside at times, because He wants me to write what He has made real, made part of my life, that which will exhort and encourage others.

I have learned this week while at a Pastors/Leadership conference with my pastor and several other men from our church, to simple say yes to the Lord, to say “Here I am, Lord.”

Carole Mayhall in “Word’s That Hurt, Word’s That Heal” said “It is my heart commitment that is imperative, my willingness to be totally His - anywhere, anytime, and in anything.” She further goe’s on to say “God wants total commitment.

He wants us to be wholehearted. Sold out. Willing to pay the price of being disciples.” She says, “The purpose of our lives is to know God”… “we are progressively to become more deeply and intimatly acquaited with Him.” Introduction, Page 15.

Indeed that is what the Lord has been speaking to me over the last few weeks. It is what I have been going through these last three plus years. Learning to know my Father, of coming to a place of intimacy, of knowing Him, not just about Him.

I came away from the conference with an awareness that the Lord is bringing even more change into my life. A shifting of focus from me to Him. To His will, His purpose. To realize that indeed it is all about the Lord, about reflecting Him.

As Carole Mayhall stated, “This means commitment to God and to His word with our whole being!” Can’t you hear the call? The wooing of the Lord? Of the Holy Spirit, drawing us, bringing us to a place of commitment, to a place of being totally His. In doing this, we begin to reflect the inward changes of the Lord.

That the presence of the Lord in our lives will draw others. They will see that in our lives, in our walk, in the things that we go through, the strength that comes from the Lord.

It is His life, the Christ within, that becomes a fragrance , which draws others to want to know more.

It is all about Him and the hope that we have!!

    Appreciate it very much!

Seems like a lot is going on lately. Got a lot of catching up to do!

Just sitting here thinking back. Who would have thought that one day, I would be sitting here at Starbucks, writing, blogging and being about the Fathers business.

I am so thankful to the Lord for all that He is doing and for the friends that He has and is bringing into my life.

    Be blessed my friend,
