Turning Back Time?

Do you ever wonder, if only I could turn time back and make changes to the things of the past, I sure would!

But we can’t! We can only look to the present, to the Lord, hopefully learning from the past, seeking the Father’s face and moving forward in this present time.

Learning to apply what we have gone through so that we can walk in the ways of the Lord.

It hurts to look back and see the results of past actions but at the same time seeing how our Father has taken those things to mold us, to change us and enable us to touch others lives when they see the handiwork of the Master Potter.

Taking the wounds, the hurts, the pains and creating a masterpiece, a work of His Hands to reflect the reality of the Christ within. To give hope to others when they see what great things the Lord has done.

Our lives are based on an ever present Father, that we can talk too, laugh with, who puts His arms around us and gives us that hug that only a loving Father can give us and makes us beam, that He takes delight in you and me!

He is teaching us to see with the eyes of faith, of trust, focusing on Him. We are in the hands of the Master Artist, who is making each one of us a unique instrument, a refection of His handiwork.

It is an inside job, that which He has begun in us, will reflect outwardly what He has done, as we walk daily with the one we love.

Is that not awesome, that we can see with the eyes of faith, that which He has begun in us, He will finish, even though the road maybe rocky at times.

We cannot turn back the clock, to go back in time, but we sure can move forward in that which He has begun in us.

Embrace the Father today. Allow Him through our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit to move us forward into His purposes and allow Him to reveal Himself afresh daily to you and to those around you, that they may see the hope, that is within!

Hey paul, sometimes i want to turn back time… those newlywed days were so special, the first days of motherhood were my ultimate dreams come true…and of course there are those things that I wish I could do over….but mostly right now I want to make time stand still. My kids are growing up sooo fast. :) And then there is some past that I wish never happened…. sigh. But all we have is this moment in time. Right here. Right now.

I think that if we were to turn back time and change something it would greatly affect and effect our lives in big ways…both good or bad. Like what if you changed one little thing and it ended up causing you to not accept Christ…

Good post, Paul. I sometimes wish I could change the hands of time, but it’s comforting to know that the Lord can make all things work together for our good when we love Him and are called according to His purpose. I trust that He’s factored in my mistakes, and can still accomplish His purposes in my life…inspite of them all.

Keep writing for the King! Miss you!
