Pondering Thoughts!
Good Morning my friends,
Just sitting here this morning thinking and looking back at the last couple of months and realizing how side tracked that I had become.
That during the Christmas holidays, during the times of being under the weather, fighting everything from the flu to intense pain, that I lost focus on what the Lord wants me to do and that is to share, to write from the heart and not to be distracted by the things around me, that can rob me of the time that is needed to be in relationship with Him!, of listening to that still small voice of the spirit.
It was so easy to say, “Well, I will post in a couple of days, you know when I get feeling better, so I have been posting here and there and I know that is something that the Lord wants me to change and I sure would appreciate your prayers my friends.
I truly want to write from the heart, to share the things that the Lord has done and is doing and to encourage you my friends in all that the Lord sets before you to do.
It would be so easy to say, will, it’s writer’s block, when that is not so, it is a matter of spending the time with the father, with the Lord, of being attuned to Him.
Hill Country Thoughts, is my Father’s gift to me, that He is allowing me to be a pen in His hands, to write from a place of relationship, of sharing the reality of what it means to walk with the Lord on a daily basis, to let others know that we indeed serve a living God, that we have access daily into His presence and He takes delight in that.
He want’s us to encourage others, to let them know the life we live, we indeed can live now in Christ, that He is a present help, a living Lord and we can walk in the fullness of who He is, because He lives in us, and we in Him.
Do you find yourself, sidetracked?
Wondering, well, is it really worth it?
And the answer that always comes back to me from the Lord, from the word, is yes! Yes, it is, because we are sharing from the heart, from a relationship and the things we share reach out and touch others, each one of us having been giving things that we have gone through, that only we can share from, that will reach out and touch others and make them stronger, as we share what the Lord has made real in our lives.
So my thought for today, is let us share, let us exhort, let us build up others in the Lord, in the faith! And for others, who may not know the Lord, that they will see in us the reality of relationship with our Father and our Lord Saviour Jesus Christ, that is will make them to want to know more.
We all have been giving talents to be used. Let us use them!
Please forgive me of my slackness of late my friends, but know that the Lord has open my eyes, stirred my heart and is putting me back on track.
Thank you my friends for your prayers, your encouragement and for checking in on me!

AMEN!
It can be a tough road. And the biggest asset to sharing is the praying.
I was helped a great deal last week.
Glad to see you back at it!

That is ok, Paul…I enjoy reading here, but we all have lives to lead with those we are living with too. And besides everyone can do with a bit of a “sabbatical” at times…
Blessings and hope you stay well now!! We are again with a significant germ in the house…hubby is home sick with it…sorta scary, being he is diabetic, though under control dietary wise. But it went immediately to his chest. We are doing what we can at home and I am off to get stuff to make my super duper homemade chicken soup germ killer too! HA! We will see if it works this time! Also gonna be feeding the old boy some good ol sour kraut..they say that kills even the bird flu virus…so I figure just as well try it with this germ. So stay away from this germ!!
Blessings…Elizabeth

Hi Paul,
Thanks for the post you left at Hunt’s Hangout. It was good to hear from you and I do hope we can talk soon. I’ll be on a ministry trip next week and the week after. Maybe we can catch up the last week of this month.
You are always in my prayers and I know the Lord is blessing you in ways you haven’t even begin to discover.
Thanks for your friendship and your inspiring ministry. You’re a true witness and shining light for our miraculous Lord and Savior!
Your friend in Jesus,,

Brother,
There isn’t a blogger around who can’t relate to how you’re feeling. You are a wonderful man of God and He will continue to use your writing in a mighty way. I’ve missed our Starbucks talks. You always point me in the right direction. I definately feel for you and what you’ve been going through and am happy to see the Lord growing you in other directions as well. Let’s talk soon.
