Canvas!!
Canvas!
What do you think of when you see that word?
Inspiration? Expressions? Art? Food?
That is what it is like when you enter the Canvas!
There is a sense of rest, relaxation, a quiet place in the midst of the city.
And the aroma!
Oh my, your palate springs to life, as you smell the bread, the pastries, the coffee, the various ingredients of the salads, sandwhiches and desserts being prepared by true artists.
Till today, I did not realize the amount of work that went into being a Chef.
My friends Chris and Anna, both Chefs, launched the Canvas officially today but I had the privilege on Sunday, of coming to a pre-opening of the Canvas. What an experience it was.
It is the kind of dining, that when you sit down, you do not want to hurry. You want to relax, to enjoy the food, a place that you feel comfortable with family and friends.
Ah, the food. You just don’t won’t to eat it, you want to savory it. As an old marine, I was taught to eat on the run but after this, I learned what it means to sit back, relax and enjoy the work of true culinary artist’s.
As I ate the Canvas Club, which was sliced grilled chicken breast, marinated with rosemary, smoked sharp cheddar, crisp Applewood bacon, green leaf lettuce, vine ripe tomatoes and chive Mayo on toasted sour dough, my taste buds where delighted.
The dessert, Oh my, I never knew how good, a chocolate, caramel topped, moist brownie could taste, that I could just savory it and let the rich chocolate melt in my mouth and enjoy the moment.
Chris and Anna prepare food fit for a king, but made for people like you and me!
I want to invite you to come and dine at The Canvas, you won’t regret it, you will be blessed by the experience!
The Canvas is located at 724 Cherokee Street, Marietta, Georgia 30060. They are opened Monday through Friday from 06:30 AM till 4:00 PM. Closed on Saturdays and Sundays.
Did I mention free Internet access? That will be happening very soon!
Chris and Anna, may the Lord richly bless you my friends!
You have taken a step of faith and are using the gifting’s that the Lord has given you in the Culinary art’s to bless others!
Indeed, Canvas is Inspired!!

The canvas sounds wonderful! Too bad I don’t live close by.
It was sure good to have a comment from you this week on my blog. I’ve missed your popping in. I didn’t realize you’d been fighting cancer on top of everything. I’ve been praying for you this week.

You are SO right, Paul…we simply cannot see into the future very well, as regards ourselves! I would NEVER have dreamed to be living on the East Coast either…but love brings you places you never thought of going…the love of my grandbabies and son, etc. So who knows? Well, we will all be in the SAME place eventually…that we know!
