Memories
It has really been amazing!A few days ago I received and e-mail from a friend that I had not heard from in over thirty years.
He e-mailed me after visiting Hill Country Thoughts and reading my biography and He wondered if I was the same Paul Dawn that He graduated when he did from Pinecrest?
Of course it was me. We shared a couple of e-mails and then this evening I gave Chuck a call and my what a flood of memories where brought back to me as I remembered the years spend at Pinecrest.We talked about old friends, Pinecrest and what has been going on in our lives.
You know, sometimes it is just really neat to sit back and open the files of our minds and remember the times in our lives when the Lord did significant things in us.
I looked back and gave thanks to the Lord for the people who have been part of my life.
I remember Bro. Wade Taylor, the founder of Pinecrest and my spiritual Father, whose life reflected the reality of a relationship with the Lord. To be in His presence, was to sense that this man spent time in the presence of the Lord in prayer and Pinecrest was birthed in His heart.
Sister Bobbi Adkins, a mother to many children in the Lord, who nurtured and carried many of us in prayer and intercession while at school.
There are so many others, that I could write a book, who have touched my heart and my life with the love of the Lord.
I just want to say thanks to Chuck for the memories, for contacting me and being used of the Lord to be a source of encouragement to me.
It is good to hear the voice of a friend from long ago.
Chuck may the Lord bless June and you. May He continue to watch over you and your sons.
And may the Lord bless you my many new friends, writers and bloggers, for the new memories and hope that you are bringing into my life as you share from the heart!
