A Beautiful Night In Georgia!
What a beautiful night!
An awesome night and a sense of the presence of the Lord as I sit here in the little park, with the covered bridge, babbling brooke, listening to the quietness of the night. It is around 11:15 in the evening when I decided to take a little walk to this little oasis, in the midst of the neightborhood created by North Star Church.
It is so soothing to be sitting here on the stairs, listening and watching the stream as the water bubbles by. It is so soothing to the heart, the mind and the soul, making me realize how blessed I am! To listen to the sound of the crickets and the sound of a train off in the distance. The park is lit at night, with a few lights in the tall pines, giving it a rather comforting feel, that even in the darkness of the night, there is light.
I visited with my friend Luanne Hunt recently on the phone and she shared some thoughts and insights that to me where right from the heart of God. Words that brought peace and rest to a soul that was in turmoil.
I received a simple e-mail from my friend and fellow writer Cecil Murphey, just thanking me for adding him to my Coffee Conversations updates. God’s timing is everything. He brings things into order according to His purpose. Being in the place He wants, opens the doors and alines us according to His plans.
That is what He is doing now. Though there are many times that I would love to be back in Junction, sitting on the front porch. There are a lot of awesome things going on right now with my friend Lewis and the morning prayer team and the Wednesday night men’s group. Though I am not there physically I am there in spirit and unity with my brothers there because I know Kennesaw is where I am too be for now.
I have been going over somethings that the Lord spoke to me back in 1973 and 1974 and the things that I thought would happen way back then are the very things that are beginning now. They are just in the beginning stages and I know that my Father will fulfill all that He has spoken too me.
Again, it is God’s timing, not ours. He will bring us to the right place, at the right time to accomplish His purpose and will in our lives. He is slowly removing the elements of fear and replacing it with trust, absolute trust in the sovereinty of who He is!
Who else but God would use the internet, blogging and all the different aspect of the world wide web to promote the reality who of He is. Indeed it is a unique tool, not one that a lot of people look at and see someone at the computer, typing away, sharing the word, sharing their heart, their testimony, yet it is a tool, a calling that the Lord has put on my heart, to reach out and to hopefully be able to touch someone, to minister to them, to encourage them in their walk, their relationship with the Lord.
A tool that can be used to promote the reality of Christ within, the hope of glory. Whatever we give Him, He will use if we allow Him. To be a pen in the Hand of God, a painter, a webmaster, a plumber, a mother, father, all these things are God’s callings on our lives. Without a vision, we will perish. He puts a vision of purpose in our lives, our job is allow Him to reveal it and bring it about in our lives.
Fine time to come into His presence and seek His face. He is already there. Even as He is with me here in this little park so He will be with you where you are at and He will hear. Even when you think not, He is listening!
The one thing that I know, is that He will never leave or forsake us. He will hear the cries of our heart and we may be surprised how He speaks to us if we allow Him too.
