Inspiration!!
We never know where inspiration is going to come from. What the Lord might use to speak to us!
As I was showering this morning I took my time. Rather than rushing and hurrying, I really took time to enjoy the shower, the heat, the warmth of the water as all the muscles in my body began to relax. The tension, the soreness, even the wounds from the surgeries felt the healing warmth of the water, what a sense of freshness, of a fresh start of the day.
The Lord began to speak to me, that His word, like the shower, is meant to bring a refreshing, a restoration to us, as we come into His presence. As we open the Word, like a shower it will begin to minister healing to us, body, soul and spirit.
It is, as we daily come into the Word, that He reveals Himself. Makes His word alive, for He Himself is the Living Word, and as we enter into the Word, then it is made alive, real within us by the Holy Spirit and it becomes alive, it ministers strength and healing to us. The Word is breathe upon by the Lord.
The Word of God reveals the heart of the Father to us. It enables us, inspires us to press on and press in and to be able to minister to the needs of others as we give out of what has been given to us. The life changing power of the Word of God.
Over the last week and a half it seems like the enemy has done whatever He could to sap strength from me, to discourage me, to take away the unction to write, to share but it cannot and will not work.
It is only as I began to put pen to paper and hand to keyboard that I began to feel the strength of the Lord, to feel that which has enable me to walk in His ways. To apply the Word and to live in the real world and reflect who He is!! It is as we spend time in His presence, that we begin to find ourselves, that we begin to realize who we are!
Shower yourself with the presence of the Lord this day. Come into His presences with an open heart to receive that which He has for you as you yield to Him.
Find inspiration and healing this day in His word. Allow Him to shower you with His presence and with His life changing power!!
