Precious Moments!!

Time!

How important it is and how quick it goes and how often we miss the precious moments that are given to us because we are so busy, so involved with everything around us, that we miss the precious moments. The quality time with our families, our children, with our Lord and Savior and with our Father.

Being here with our children and grandchildren have given me such a new perspective of what is important in life, of what is sustaining and what enables us to have a sense of purpose.

The time that we take to be with the Lord, to be in His word, in His presence. Those are precious moments.

Times of being heart to heart with our Father and learning His heart beat, allowing the work of the Holy Spirit to bring healing, restoration and renewal.

It is learning to spend time with our children, to listen to their thoughts, their hopes and dreams. To be able to pray with them, to lift them to the Lord and to watch the Lord work in their lives.

It is spending time with the grandchildren. To enjoy the mornings when my grand daughter Rebekah comes out here to the living room to just be with grandpapa. To sit on the couch and just talk and share and to see the smile in her eyes. What a joy she is too me.

Then there is the excitement when my grandsons Jordan and Keian run out to the living room to see if grandpapa is here and to see the excitement in their eyes also brings such an awareness of precious moments. When they run and give me a hug, or when I have too correct them, little Keian will look at me with a smile on his face, and a wink in his eye and it is hard to keep a straight face.

I remember precious moments of Jodie, what a gem and a treasure she is and what a blessing. The joy she is to our children and grandchildren. To listen to the grandchildren talk about grandma, that too is precious, for the love in their voice for her is priceless.

In remembering all of this today I am reminded how important time is. Time spent with the Father, in my walk with the Lord and how precious time with the family is.

Take time to remember the precious moments. The quiet time with the Lord, with the Father and give thanks, rejoice in those times and store them in your heart as precious treasure.

Let us remember those precious moments! Those times with our families. To let them know how loved they are. Don’t forget the little things, which are not so little. The hugs, the winks, the I love you’s. The shoulder to rest on, the ears to hear and the time to listen, to just be there.

Sitting here this morning with tears swelling in my eyes, not of sadness or sorrow but of seeing the Hand of God in our family, in each of our children and grandchildren and to realize how precious they all are.

Precious moments, remember them! Store them in your heart, so that you can look back and remember and then look forward to new moments and times that will be written upon your heart!!

Till later,

Paul
