Listen, Truly Listen!!
It is around 04:44 in the morning. Just sitting here in my favorite chair, oil lamp lit, Frisky at my feet, listening to music that takes you into the presence of the Lord as you sit and listen, truly listen to the music, to the words.
I am listening to Luanne Hunts song’s, as well as the music of several others and the songs made me realize the importance of praise, worship and adoration of the Lord is in our lives. That it prepares our hearts to come into the presence of the Lord.
It prepares our hearts to receive that which the Lord wants to do in our lives as we yield and abandon ourselves to Him. To trust, absolutely in our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ!
Praise and worship always prepares the way, even into battle, into spiritual warfare. It is the praise and worship and the adoration that enables us to stand and be strong in the Lord, in the power and might of His Spirit.
It is so amazing to realize how simple the Lord has made things but how complicated we have become. He tells us to be as a child, to have that child like faith and what do we do?
We have a tendency to tell the Lord, the Creator of Heaven and Earth, Lord this is really too complicated for you. I don’t see how you can change or do this Lord, this is too hard for you.
Say what!!
Silly us, when will we realize that He is God, He is our Father, nothing, absolutely nothing is to hard for Him. Nothing holds Him back but our simple lack of faith. It is at this point that we need to ask Him to help us to believe, to trust, to see Him at work in all that is going on in our lives.
Let us call upon the Name of the Lord today. Let us draw strength from His word, from His presence, from fellowship with our brothers and sisters in the Lord.
Let us each lift up a friend, a fellow writer, a blogger and ask the Lord to bless them this day. To meet the needs of the their hearts, of their spirit, that they would be renewed today, able to stand strong because we are united in the Lord, that we are one, that we are becoming the Body of Christ.
In worship and praise find your strength this day. Listen, truly listen to the words and you will find yourself in the presence of of the Lord, of the King, of our Father, as you give Him a sacrifice of praise, even when you least feel like it. As you begin to open your mouth and begin to praise, you will be amazed at the strength that comes to you from our heavenly Father!!
